Om Puri dies at his apartment in Mumbai. He was 66 years old. This friday morning he was found dead lying in his bed. Prime minister Narendra modi and other politicians too delivered the condolences to the veteran actor. Om puri was a padamshri award winner and had been part of the film industry since 1976. Om puri made his film debut through marathi film “Ghashiram Kotwal”. Om puri studied in Film and Television Institute of India and at the National School of Drama. He was believed to be one of the oldest and finest actors to ever work in Indian film industry.
Critics had always acknowledged this actors potential. Om Puri has worked in ‘Ardh Satya’, ‘Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron’ and ‘Mirch Masala’. Recently he has worked in some of the popular movies ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and ‘Ghayal Once Again’. Om puri returned to his apartment yesterday evening after the shoot. This morning his doorbell went unanswered, due to which the driver raised an alarm. The family members and friends revealed that the veteran actor died due to a heart attack.
